About the Programme

B.Tech in Civil engineering is the oldest and evergreen program, long towers and historic buildings are the results of thousands of successful civil engineers and architectures. Civil Engineering course at SCE include planning, designing, constructing, maintaining, and operating infrastructures while protecting the public and environmental health as well as improving existing infrastructure. CE graduate will always be demand as there will always be the need of developing better infrastructure and sustain eco-friendly environment.Department offers following programs:

  • Use of Various instructional methods: Such as Lectures supported by field training/exposure, Audio-visual methods for teaching, PPTs, Model building, Site visit within & outside the campus.
  • Quality of laboratory experiments: Exposure to the students in software like STAAD PRO, AUTO CAD, E-TABS, PRIMAVERA etc. to enhance their knowledge of modern engineering tools as well as designing skills.
  • Encouraging bright students: Encourage by giving Cash prizes and certificates, facilitating them to attend workshops/seminars/trainings outside the college campus.

Eligibility Criteria
4 years

(A) Passed 10+2 examination with physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject.

(B) Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved caategory) in the above subjects taken together.

Lateral Entry to Second Year

(A) Passed Diploma examination from an AICTE approved Institution; with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology

(B) Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University a defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and passed XII standard with mathematics as a subject.

(C) Provided that in case of students belonging to B.Sc. Stream, shall clear the subjects of Engineering Graphics / Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year Engineering Program along with the second year subjects.

(D) Provided further that, the students belonging to B.Sc. Stream shall be considered only after filling the supernumerary seats in this category with students belonging o the Diploma stream.

(E) Provided further that student, who have passed diploma in Engineering & Technology from an AICTE approved Institution or B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, shall also be eligible for admission to the first year Engineering Degree course subject to vacancies in the first year class in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted. However the admission shall be based strictly on the eligibility criteria as mentioned in A, B, D and E above.
