SCE has inaugurated its ISHRAE students
chapter on March 12, 2010 to pace the
students of Mechanical Engineering with
latest developments in the field of air
conditioning and refrigeration. It works in
close associations with ASHRAE, IGBC and
related industries.
ISHRAE
(The Indian society of heating.
Refrigerating and Air Conditioning
Engineers) was founded in 1981 at New
Delhi by a group of eminent HVAC&R
professionals. ISHRAE has since grown
rapidly and has more than 8000 members in 34
chapters and over 3000 student members in 75
student’s chapters, across India. ISHRAE
organizes international and national
Expositions, seminars, Quiz program, Paper
presentations, Training and workshops to
achieve its primary objective of furthering
the arts, sciences of heating, Refrigeration
and Air Conditioning.
ISHRAE
publishes Handbooks, Technical Guides a
quarterly journal, operates a web portal and
releases software for the HVAC & R industry
standards, publishing a new set of Indian
weather data and is working closely with the
government of India in the area of Energy
conservation. Membership for ISHRAE is open
to individuals from the HVAC & R and allied
industries. ISHRAE is an affiliate society
of American Society of Heating,
Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers
(ASHRAE).
