     Electronics and Communication Engineering

The major driving force of the department is its experienced faculty and laboratories. The emphasis in the department is on micro electronics, satellite, digital, analog technology and the application of electronics in health care, remote sensing, automation, signal processing, defence, oil and gas exploration, communication, space research programmes. The department is conducting research in the area of signal processing. The academic activities are supported by the laboratories like digital communication, signal processing, and microwave, mobile technology, network and analog integrated circuits.

The department also has a “roboclub” to promote the innovation and research attitude in the students.

Department conducts workshops, seminars on emerging technologies and software’s which are being used in industries such as

» Workshop on MATLAB.
» Workshop on embedded system
» Workshop on xyling and VHDL with FPGA implementation
» Workshop on latest simulation softwares like orcad, simulink.

Such workshop and seminars increase the employability factor of students as they will have experience and exposure on such technologies.

Department also has strong interaction with industries. Frequent industrial visits are organised. Training of the students is organized in the industries like BSNL, ONGC, BEL, DRDO, IRDE, AIRTEL etc.
